A Different Side of Europe
When we think of a “Europe Tour,” we usually picture the Eiffel Tower in Paris or Big Ben in London.
But there is another side of Europe. A side where the call to prayer (Azan) echoes against mountain peaks, where crystal clear waterfalls cascade into emerald lakes, and where history is written in both Latin and Arabic script.
This is Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
At Hahnemann Travel, our Eastern Europe tour (covering countries like Bosnia, Croatia, Austria, and Hungary) is fast becoming a favorite for travelers who want to see something unique. Here is why this route needs to be on your bucket list.
1. Bosnia: The “Jerusalem of Europe”
For the Muslim traveler, Bosnia & Herzegovina is an emotional experience.
- Sarajevo: In the capital city, you will walk through the Baščaršija (Old Bazaar). With its cobblestone streets, wooden shops, and the smell of roasting lamb and coffee, you might think you are in Turkey!
- The Islamic Legacy: We visit historic mosques that have stood for centuries. Hearing the Azan ring out across a European valley is a moment that gives many of our pilgrims goosebumps.
- Mostar: We visit the famous Stari Most bridge. Watching the local divers jump 24 meters into the Neretva River is a sight you won’t forget.

Sarajevo: Where East meets West.
2. Croatia: Nature Like You’ve Never Seen
If you love nature, Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia will leave you speechless.
- The Scenery: Imagine 16 terraced lakes joined by waterfalls that extend into a limestone canyon. The water is a color you have to see to believe—sometimes turquoise, sometimes azure.
- The Experience: We take an electric boat ride and walk along the wooden boardwalks. It is peaceful, cool, and undeniably photogenic.

3. Austria & Hungary: Imperial Grandeur
After the rustic charm of the Balkans, we move to the royal elegance of Central Europe.
- Vienna (Austria): We visit the Schonbrunn Palace and drive around the Ringstrasse. This is the land of Mozart and grand cafes.
- Budapest (Hungary): Known as the “Pearl of the Danube.” We see the massive Parliament Building and take in the panoramic views from Fisherman’s Bastion.
- The Contrast: This tour offers the perfect balance. You get the humble spiritual vibes of Bosnia and the fancy, “royal” vibes of Austria/Hungary in one trip.
4. Halal Food: A Pleasant Surprise
In Western Europe, finding Halal food can be a treasure hunt. In Eastern Europe (especially the Balkans), it is a feast!
- The Meat: Bosnia is famous for Ćevapi (grilled minced meat sausages) and Burek (meat pies). Because of the large Muslim population, Halal food is the standard here, not the exception.
- Hahnemann Quality: In the non-Muslim majority cities like Vienna and Budapest, we have carefully selected Halal-certified restaurants so you can enjoy local flavors like Goulash or Schnitzel without worry.
Travel in Comfort
Eastern Europe involves crossing several borders. Doing this by public transport is difficult and tiring.
With our private coach, you simply sit back and watch the landscape change from Austrian Alps to Bosnian hills. We handle the border crossings, the hotels, and the luggage.
Discover the Hidden Gem
If you have already done London and Paris, it’s time to head East. Come for the history, stay for the scenery (and the Ćevapi!).
